Zenith shut down

Model #B25AO2Z - Set attempts power up as seen by horizontal flash on picture tube but never comes up. Hitting the power button repeats the symptom. I was guessing this may be in the horizontal section so Iv'e checked several caps in the area, but haven't replaced the HOT since it checks good and I don't have a spare. Nothing found bad yet. I do not have the schematic but was hoping someone here may be familiar with this set and symptom, and path forward. Thanks group, still a beginner here.

If you see any light or flash on the screen then possibly the HOT and the circuitry around the flyback is OK. It is possible that the television is shutting down as a result of x-ray or HV protection being triggered because of B+ regulation problems. Check the raw unregulated B+ rectifiers and filter then check the regulated output for ripple and regulation. electricitym
