Vertical IC TDA8174 was bad, half a pix, & lots of lines, & missing parts of the pix on top half, all vertical caps measure ok, new IC gets hot quickly, & set goes to a line. The vertical wouldn't get worse, but now quickly it drops right to a line. Yoke measures 5.7 ohm. Ideas?

Replace those filter caps, especially the one of the fly supply see how that goes. Oh make sure the new IC is not a fake cheap China s*it one.
You likely did not find all of the caps. Look to the one in the supply from the FBT secondary.
