Wish list: Tidy Test Leads

Jul 29, 2005 3 Replies

My FLUKE 77 multimeter has a pretty good snap-on rubber carrying case that has a belt hook and snap-in recesses for parking the test probes. My beef is that when the test leads are wound around the meter and the test probes stored in place the leads cannot be wound snugly. I wish FLUKE and other instrument manufacturers will provide the right length of wire leads so that everything can be stored neatly.

Wrap them the other way. They wrap nicely on the 187 in one direction but not in the other.

It must have been a left-handed engineer who designed it! [Left hand being the "sinister" hand.] 8-)

(I'm left-handed,and so is ~10% of the population)

I typed 187 but meant 179. Was thinking on an RCA chassis in for repair.
