USA phone in Europe

Hello,

I bought this phone

formatting link
and I would like it to use in Europe (Croatia exactly). Since it has much more wires in the cable than the regular rj11 (it has 8 of them looks like rj45 plug), I would like to know if anyone knows how to convert it on normal phone line so I can use it? I tried with the scandinavian to normal rj11 adapter but it didn't work..

any ideas?

ty

I hope you only bought one of them. It was the handset from a cell phone. IT ONLY WORKS WITH THE CELL PHONE IT WAS DESIGNED FOR!!!

Sorry.

Geoff.

What you bought is not a regular phone. It is part of a specialized cell phone used in taxis, and mobile services. What you have, can never function as a regular phone.

What you need is a regular phone.

It's not a cellphone, it is merely the handset for a carphone or car mounted trunked radio system. You'd need to locate the carphone unit it plugs into for it to be any use. On its own, it is absolutely no use whatsoever.

Basically, what you have is no use to you, and likely will never be.
