Trouble with a 3-year-old TV

I have a Panasonic 32" CRT HDTV that's just over 3 years old. Model # is CT-32HL43G. It's been a great TV up to this point. However, this morning I turned it on and hit trouble.

When I turned it on, I heard about a second of audio while the picture would have been coming up. Then everything just went black. The TV doesn't turn on or do anything right now.

I know you're curious, so... yes, I tested it in different outlets that are known to work. There are no indications that the TV is getting any power (i.e. no clicking when I hit the power button or anything like that), so my first guess is the power supply.

Does anyone have an opinion on what it may be and what my best options are? The TV cost me $1100 3 years ago, I'd rather not pay upwards of $200 to repair it. Then again, I'd rather not shell out $1000 for a new TV either. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks.

If you paid $1100 for it and it's only 3 years old then it's certainly worth having fixed. There's not much you can do yourself unless you're familiar with TV repair. I would concur that the problem probably lies somewhere in the power supply but let a tech figure it out, don't jump to conclusions.

Pay to have it repaired by a professional.

Assuming youve checked the fuse and wires in the plug, and given your lack of knowledge of how to go about fixing it, you dont really have any other options.

You need to check the HOT and if it is back change out both the fly and HOT
