Toshiba Television - Bowing of Picture

Mar 11, 2005 2 Replies

We have a six-year old Toshiba 35" television that has recently begun having problems with the bowing (or bending in) of the picture about 2 to 3" on each side. At first it was just when you turned it on and it would grow out to normal after about three minutes. Now, it is "permantently" bowed.

In the old days, there were adjustments for geometry problems, but not any more.

Simple question. Is this something that is worth having repaired or is it the start of much worse things (like the tube going) and I should just look at a new set?

Thanks in advance.

Roger

Worth repairing? Definitely! Will be much cheaper to fix it that to dispose and buy anew!

Not tube related.....circuitry related!

Have it fixed now before problem escalates into something more expensive to fix.
