spectra physics fiber coulped laser diode type 0129-2653 Rev. D

Hi there, I've got a spectra physics 0129-2653 Rev. D laser diode a few days ago but I don't have any specs about the operating current / threshold current; I only know the wavelength is 808nm and Pout is about 30 watts. Does any one have more detailed information on this diode?

Thanks, Thomas

Typically, a 30 W diode will have a threshold of 8-12 amps with

30 W at 35-50 A depending on slope efficiency. The only way to know exactly without measuring it (assuming the diode is good) would be to get the original test sheet from Spectra-Physics.

tml

is

in the

.

That's only rated for 12-13W from the fiber. The diode inside is a 20W unit. Max current should be 25-27A.

thanks a lot for your information. I expected the diode to be the 40W model but 20 W should be ok for now...
