Does anyone have any pointers to repair above TV. Symptoms are that the picture is compressed to 75% size, black for the lower 25%, colour has faded, autotuner not responding and volume auto turns itself down. I thought the tube is probably *****ed!!

How could the picture tube have any effect on the volume? You have a bigger problem. Is the picture small both horizontally and vertically?

It may be a compounded problem involving the tube that's what I was specualting. Picture is compressed only in the vertical plane. Cheers
