Model HLN617W. It has sound but no picture. Replaced lamp without success. TV has a whine when turned on then it shuts off and turns on by itself. I'm thinking ballast or color wheel. Any tips on how to determine what's causing this will be appreciated.

DMD Board controls both the Colour Wheel and Lamp Ballast. Inspect the Colour Wheel first to make sure it has not broken. Seen many with shattered elements and shards of glass every-where.
