Well the fuse is there for safety purposes and not to regulate the temp. Hard to say what the temp is inside on the highest heat setting where the fuse is located. I suppose the air temp at the nozzle is around 150F but again who knows what it is inside.

I would just go to Radio Shack, see what they had, and pick whichever one seems reasonable. Assuming they still sell them, which they probably don't.

If it`s a microtemp, I understand that they are colour coded by the seal. It`s been a few years since I bothered repairing domestic appliances, so I dont recall what the colours denote.
