RCA 27" TV.

Got an out of town call on a 27" RCA M # 27V510TYX1 Ch # ITC008FBM. It goes dead, after it's left alone for a while it can be turned on again fine. It works for three days sometimes. Anything common on these sets? Thanks, Dani.

When it's on, THUMP it hard. The width changes. Then you have a good easy fix. Cut both plugs ends off of blue and two brown wires and yank pins off, solder wires directly. The small white plugs are not the problem.

Reason for this, TV is shutting down once in awhile from the horizontal protection due to bad connection on that pincushion circuit (the 3 wire cable links the active pincushion circuit to the 2 diode/2 caps divider circuit in the horizontal for pincushion.

This is cheesy design this way for pincushion connections.

Cheers, Wizard
