Color doesn't work but B&W is fine. Done all the merry go round stuff suggested by HW, including cleaning, replacement of the color cartridge, etc., etc, etc. It appears that the cartridge is not lining up with the electronics on the carriage, or so it would seem to me. Any suggestion how to fix? John
I also have a HP 3820 that I am working on at the moment. I need a small replacement gear for the print cartridge keeper. My carriage moves fine, but hangs cause the gear is severely worn.
If you get to the point where you decide to toss the 3820, please let me know cause I'd really appreciate you removing the gear that I need first! Alternatively, I could probably supply a couple new print cartridges and other parts if you know what you need.
