I have an Hitachi plasma tv, model P42T501 which has a faint horizontal line which travels up the screen, there is also a slight buzzing sound. I suspect these problems may be due to a leaky capacitor on the power supply panel. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

If it's not in warranty anymore, what keeps you from carefully opening the case and inspect all capacitors for obviuous damage (leakage, burst-open lid) ? Also, I'd check the caps in the powersupply with an ESR-meter then.
