RCA F26040WN 27" TV manufactured May 1990
Sound and picture are okay and then cut out intermittently to a light grey screen with white lines running about 1" apart slightly off the horizontal with no sound.
Returns to normal after varying times with power on or off. If you turn the TV on after turning it off there is a horizontal white line on a black screen that pops open to the grey screen.
I googled the group and it appears to be a cold solder joint someplace. Any suggestions?
I'm normally a hobbyist pinball reapair person. I have a temperature controlled soldering station and was trained in military years ago for soldering and basic troubleshooting. Mainly we did swap outs and then scoped out the offending board.
