I cleaned my 60" big screen tv (Samsung DLP) screen yesterday with tissueand glass cleaner, now a black triangle about 5 inches high has appearedin the lower left corner, very annoying, looks like perhaps some of thecleaner somehow leaked behind the screen, damaged something or whatever. Iam depressed about this of course. Is there any way I can fix this myself,or even pay a TV repair person to fix it? How serious of damage, what sortof damage, might I have done? Any feedback or help greatly appreciated.

You have probably damaged some of the non-reflective coating on oneof the surfaces and are looking at a replacement cost of a few hundreddollars. Just out of curiosity, what does the owner's manual sayabout screen cleaning?Beowulf wrote:

Home Depot has a product from GE called Cleaner for Lexan for $2.99 per quart. I have tested it on coated lenses, lenticular screens, mylar mirrors, fresnel lenses, and first surface mirrors and left it on in quantities for extended periods of time repeatedly and found it to be safe on all of them. The also sell a pack of microfiber cloths for the same price. The combination is the best I have found for cleaning screens, etc.

You might also see if they have an attitude or asshole tester there, Roy. Mine seems to go off when I see your posts sometimes.
