wrong time: elan patch

Aug 25, 2003 0 Replies

Hello,

I have a few question about the elan patch, which corrects for the wrong clock of the AMD cpu:

  1. Can I download it for kernel 2.4.10 anywhere?

  1. Is it possible to detect by user software, that the patch is installed? So that I can correct the time every time at midnight if the patch is not installed.

  2. Is it possible to install the patch without changing the kernel, but just by starting a program?

  1. Or should I just compare the output of "clock" with the output of "date"? I think clock is the cmos clock and date the system date?

I would appreciate any help
