Hi,
I have just started to look at embedded Linux. I hope to build a GNU
tool-chain, and eventually put Linux on a handheld device like a iPaq.
Can someone please give me pointers to the latest compatible component
versions to successfully build a GNU tool-chain for a i386 host and an ARM
(iPaq) target...
Thanks,
~Partha

Re: GNU Toolchain

Look at handhelds.org for iPaq info.
There is also a good toolchain build script at http://kegel.com/crosstool
It currently has an issue regarding floating point on arm,
but patches for that should be coming soon as part of the
next release of http://ptxdist.sf.net , another good way to
build toolchains.
