Will it be harmful to the cellphone battery if i Leave it plugged in all the time? I'm trying to use it more, by thinking of it as just another land line phone.

Generally this is safe. There is little danger of overcharge as the phone regulates the charge cycle, and the battery itself has a built-in protection circuit to protect against overcharge.
