Many sporting events on TV have the background sounds so loud tha the announcers voices can not be understood much of the time. Is there an audio filter that can reduce the level of thes background sounds?

Many sporting events on TV have the background sounds so loud tha the announcers voices can not be understood much of the time. Is there an audio filter that can reduce the level of thes background sounds?
No really although you might get lucky if the transmission is in stereo and the announcer is off to one side.
Sometimes the comentary on the radio is better. Turn the sound down on the TV and turn up the radio.
