A good small voice recorder?

I have a Pogo radio and recorder device I bought 8-10 years ago. It's sort of like Tivo for radio. The Tivo part is virtually useless where I live, since AM/FM reception is minimal. I've made very good use recording off the net and at lectures. For recording, it has one bad feature. If the power goes out, one has to reset the calender and time it uses for a time stamp on the mp3 files.

It's about the size of an iphone and has a 2x1" LCD display. I like that. It would be good to be able to prefix recording files like ABC20070501 instead of just providing a time stamp.

Any suggestions for a recorder that meet my requirements above?

BTW, Pogo went out bus several years ago, and may have been bought out C. Crane.

The CC Witness has better AM reception than the Pogo did.

I think it has USB-charged internal battery instead of AA or AAA. I'm going to check more on this. Dave
