801 tube

Does anyone have a 801 or 801A tube, it's a triode transmitting tube, at a reasonable price. This is not for an audio amplifier for to replace one that burned out in a piece of school equipment. I will pay for it myself, but it will become school property, so I hesitate to get one at the usual exotic tube sources. snipped-for-privacy@austin.rr.com

This is NOT a buying and selling group.

You seem to have a real problem figuring out which group is appropriate for your posts. It's not really that difficult:

When you get your request posted to the proper group, you might explain why that is.

Actually, he's being quite specific by describing it as an 801
transmitting tube.
