I can't seem to find this information anywhere.
What are the differences in the series of the Simpson Model 260 VOMs? I have seen series 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, etc.

Early models are just your plain vanilla VOM, subsequent models add features such as improved circuitry, overload protection, improved meter movements (taut band), etc. Surf over to

and read about the company and its history. They have a manuals for their later models of the venerable 260 VOM available for download.
