Gidday All, I have available a lovely HP 8922S GSM Test Set with Opt 6 : Spectrum Analyser 10-1000 Mhz, c/w an extensive genuine HP - 3 Manual Set comprising - Prog Ref Guide, Users Info, Users H/B V2.
The "S" was specially made for emphasis on Service and testing of GSM phones. This HP 8922S will fully test GSM phones with no other equipment needed.
This 1996 unit in excellent condition and will test GSM-900, E-GSM, DCS-900 and PCS1900 hardware.
I have tested the CW Generator (10-1000 Mhz) AND the Spectrum Analyser (10-1000 Mhz) functionality.
Even if this instrument is not used for GSM testing - you still have :
a 1 Ghz Spectrum Analyser (1 Hz Res) with On-Screen Power meter, a 1 Ghz Synthesised Signal Generator (1 Hz Res) from +7 to -127 dBm, a 1 Ghz Frequency Counter,
But wait.. there's more.. I think but I'm not entirely sure (I'll need to check the Mans)...you also get -
a DIGITAL OSCILLOSCOPE: frequency range: 2 Hz to 50 kHz sweep times: 10 us to 100ms in 1,2,5,10 steps
an AUDIO ANALYER: frequency range: 20 Hz to 400 kHz
an AUDIO SOURCE: frequency range: DC to 25 kHz
