I downloaded some software, now my Sony 20" monitor has a blank screen, and is in "power saving" mode. This is true whether it is connected to the PC or not. Has is gone belly up? HELP please

Try it on another PC?
This isn't the right newsgroup for your problem. Try news:sci.electronics.repair . Give them the Brand and Model numbers, as well as the symptoms and they may be able to help you.
