Hi there, I'm a radio ham and I bought an HP8711A on e-bay for few dollars. I already fixed it, and now it works great. I would like to buy the schematic diagrams for this machine (HP part nr. 08711-90114). Agilent discontinued this manual, end it seems to be very rare. I can pay via PayPal. Hi Caeser et al, Lachlan indicated they'd been trashed when I contacted him re these and the firmware, so they may not be available any more.
If you do find a copy I'd still be interested as well, despite having got this one back up and running without them.

Hi Greg, I don't know if I misunderstood your post or not. If you need the firmware update, I can give you the A.03.54 the A.03.52 and the A.02.10 original files in dos format, these files are useful to create the LIF discs for the machine. Just let me know, and I'll send you them.
