spansion s29gl programmers?

Mar 16, 2009 2 Replies

Other than the official Spansion SUP programmer does anyone know of other third party programmers that can be used to read/write spansion flash chips, specifically the s29gl-N models? I've searched for, well, a few hours now and only found some solutions discussed here with the NGW100, with a great deal of massaging AND the Altera Nion II platform. But is there something self-enclosed like common programmers?

The closest i've found is from Xeltek which comes in over $1000 which is rather fare for what it provides but a bit much for me for just this one project right now.

Are you aware that Spansion has gone down the drain?

Leo Havmøller.

yeah i heard about this. im asking from the angle of reuse of devices that have such chips already, not so much so that i can develop with them in the near future.
