I am looking for a simple Library type database program to keep track of technical documentation. Mostly all the paper versions. I prefer something with a Windows client that can use one of the open source backends such as MySQL or Postgres running on Linux. Standard / traditional library databases do not work so well for Technical manuals and documents. Very few manuals have ISBN numbers for instance, and often the authors are either not mentioned or not that important. The closest I have come so far are programs designed to keep track of academic documents. i.e. Journals, Thesisas, articles etc.
