The cables, being so thin, are rather fragile, especially the tiny (ceramic) board they have at the very ends - these can crack easily.
I checked the inputs on the board itself and those are fine, definitely dead cables.
Alternatively, if someone wants to trade, I have a spare 35state/100 timing module for
16500(a/b/c) frames.
