The chip does not have an accelerometer.

He probably means how to read an accelerometer with that chip. Which varies hugely with the accelerometer.
So, OP: what's the accelerometer? If it's a chip, post the part number.

Or he may have a dev board with an accelerometer. At least ST's dev boards have such sensors, but for Cortxes, not MSP430.
