Certifications for Embedded stuff?

Its me again. Does anyone know of some good certifications to get qualified (or re-qualified) for an Embedded job?

I dont mean that the certs will do everything for me. I'm just thinking of something supportive as an extra.

Might depend a bit where you are in the world and what you already have under your belt qualification-wise. Embedded Systems work might need a very wide range of skills.

"Embedded" is too broad of a term. It's not like "accounting" where you can claim to be a CPA and "numbers are numbers".

Think about the *industries* you are targeting and what would make you more attractive to *them*. E.g., if you want to design consumer kit, then being able to design medical instrumentation is NOT going to be a big win for you...

I've found versatility to be a good asset -- showing that you aren't easily pigeon-holed but can adapt to new requirements, technologies, etc.

Good luck!

How about an engineering degree from a good University?
