Hi all. Anyone know of an alternative to National Semiconductors LM1893 which has been discontinued? Thanks, Alistair.

All X-10 and like stuff is carrier current. Signaling is the presence or absence of 120KHz signal just after the zero crossing.

Thanks Don. Any recommendations - don't need anything more than an x10 driver interface preferably. Went to X10 site but found nothing suitable. Al.
The Basic Stamps have XIN and XOUT commands that work though a TW523 power line interface. Also the PIC Basic Pro compiler also has XIN and XOUT commands for the same interface. The TW523 documentation describes the operation. I will try to send you a pdf copy.

Have located the perfect device in the Philips TDA5051A Alistair.
