And it would help if you would quote the post to which you are commenting.
Hi, I have a DPDT toggle switch, and I like to give two inputs to it (AC and DC) . by toggling the switch to AC I like to get AC out put, and toggling to DC I like to get DC out put.( one at a time). what would be the wiring look line? thanks for the help.
Looking at the back of a common DPDT toggle switch (no guarantee yours is the same!) there should be six terminals:
1 2 3 4 5 63 connects to either 1 or 5, depending on the switch position. Likewise 4 connects to either 2 or 6. 1, 3, or 5 never connect to 2,
4, or 6. Verify with an ohmmeter.Connect the two AC wires to 1 and 2. Connect the + and - DC wires to 5 and 6 Connect the load to 3 and 4.
