Hall effect in free air

Hi. I need to find a way to enable a parachute deployment timer on a model rocket, and was wondering what the free air and higher (1-10) G effects would be on a normal hall effect sensor. Thanks.

If you are meaning any changes to Magnetic Effects, I really doubt any.

Hi, John. Hall effect sensors are used extensively in automotive and other environments where moderate shock/vibration requirements are a consideration. You shouldn't have any problem with this.

Good luck Chris

Thanks Chris. I guess the only way is to load it as a payload for test and see what the effects will be before I commit it to actual work. John.
