No. In the US, it's cheap natural gas that makes coal plants less attractive. Regulation tilts things further towards ng.

It's already cheaper in Hawaii to forget the grid tie altogether and just go off grid. In the SW it'll be cheaper in several years.
An American bankster said that soon it'll be cheaper in the lower 48 states to go off grid.
SoCal Edison told stock holders that they have to change their business plan ASAP.
They should have had their spreadsheets ready.
