Windows vista

Has anyone tried to use a HP 7210 all in one printer with Vista Home Premium software? Is there an upgrade from HP available?

Thanks

You might find your self not a happy camper.. HP should have drivers if the unit is no older than a 1.5 years i think it was? since the release of Vista.

No, I don't do all in ones. ;-) HP says that everything you need is built into Vista, their is nothing available for download at the time. Didn't you look?

Yes, the 7310 is available. Welcome to the new HP.

good answer. you may find that amusing, i know some one that crippled their pc's network installing Vista. it appears Vista didn't have proper drivers for the network adapter and for what ever reason, He couldn't get back his original OS, nor could he use the OEM restore CD's he had for his computer. The OEM restore CD's refuse to install because Vista removed some vital information it needed and the installation of the restore CD's indicated that. After contacting a service rep, they told him there's extra information in the flash that is used to ID the PC when they ship the PC's with the OEM restore CD's.

It appears that vista may have done something to his flash.

He found a copy of XP Pro in a store that had some left over. He was ok after that. He tried to return his Vista, they wouldn't take it back and he got the largest version. Lots of money lost because he had to buy XP PRO.

Oh man. Well, no ten horses will drag me to "upgrade". That is the main reason why I hurried to order another laptop in December. So I would get one that doesn't have Vista pre-loaded.
