Web Cam Update

With the help of others I was able to get my Logitech C920 to tie into my software at all resolutions up to and including 1080p.

But what I am really posting about is the Canon Rebel SLR camera series. I got a T4i after exploring the T series starting with the T3i. It is an amazing system. It includes the software to put on the PC that allows realtime viewing of the camera viewfinder image and also control of many of the camera features from the PC including snapping a picture. I am sure this would be an asset to anyone wanting to document via photography. I suggest anyone interest look at Beach Camera site for great packages with two perfect Canon lenses. This is getting me back into photography after a decade of hiatus. I am in no way connected to Beach Camera other than being a first time customer.

You dont need an SLR to do that. Even my old Canon Powershot S3IS has full PC control of the settings, imaging on screen and shooting. I imagine many others have this facility as well.

Same with my Canon S5IS DSLR although the software support other Canon cameras: $95.

Or, use a Nintendo DS to control a Canon camera: with CHDK (Canon Hack Development Kit) installed:
