Hi All,

I have 1 composite video source and I would like to split in to 2 inputs

Can you recommend some video splitter ccts like emitter followers (buffers) or some video buffer splitter chips.

Regards Joseph

Use courier or other constant-width font for this ASCII-art schematic:

|\ | \ 75 in-------+--------+---|+ \_________/\/\/\----out1 | | |- / | | | | / | | | |/ | | | | | +--+/\/\/\---+ | | R | \ | / | \ R | / | | | GND | | |\ | | \ 75 +--------+---|+ \_________/\/\/\----out2 | | |- / | \ | | / | / 75 | |/ | \ | | / +--+/\/\/\---+ | | R GND \ / \ R / | GND

The op-amp could be, for example, the LT1364CN8, which is in-stock at digikey. Numerous details are not shown. You will need to have bypass capacitors, and a +/-5 V power supply. I don't know that this is the best or cheapest way to do this. This op-amp is just the first one I found at digikey that looked like it would do the job.

Read the datasheet for the full details.

Or just go to

and search for lt1364 if the above URL doesn't work for you.

Have fun.

I read in sci.electronics.design that Mac wrote (in ) about 'video splitter', on Mon, 2 May 2005:

.... which is seriously in error. The feedback is positive and the inverting input of each op-amp is not connected to anything.

Which, as John Woodgate pointed out elsewhere, is seriously in error. I've fixed the one below.

|\\ | \\ 75 in-------+------------|+ \\_________/\\/\\/\\----out1 | +---|- / | | | | / | | | |/ | | | | | +--+/\\/\\/\\---+ | | R | \\ | / | \\ R | / | | | GND | | |\\ | | \\ 75 +------------|+ \\_________/\\/\\/\\----out2 | +---|- / | \\ | | / | / 75 | |/ | \\ | | / +--+/\\/\\/\\---+ | | R GND \\ / \\ R / | GND

My apologies (especially to the OP) for posting such a fundamentally flawed schematic.

Thanks. I fixed it (I hope!) elsewhere in the thread.
