My Internet is Cox Cable, but outages are _very_ rare, and usually just a few minutes while they swap equipment in the neighborhood.

Ah, mine must be near end of production and came with an different (LED?) lamp. I bought it just as everybody started making telephones. Or perhaps i completely misremembered and it is a Trimline. Won't know until i dig it up.
Those wall warts were recalled as a fire hazard some years later. I wonder if WE had the first patent for a wall wart?
What does an oscilloscope look like? :-)
There is quite a bit of variation, it could very well look like a computer with a sound card.
