Larkin can be helpful when he wants to be, but he can also be a creepy cyber-stalker with the best of them. He often posts replies to one person's post so he can be snarky and nasty to someone else in the thread who he has kill filed. The point of the kill file is to not read and not respond to someone's posts. But Larkin truly can't help himself.

It's kinda like bitching about people spitting on the sidewalk... except for Bubba because he cleans your septic tank. Bubba can spit anywhere he wants as long as your septic tank doesn't back up. Larkin is yo Bubba.

I don't recognize that description of John in any way. He is unfailingly polite and helpful - and extremely capable and knowledgeable in the field of electronics. He doesn't quite fill the enormous hole left by the sad demise of Jim Thompson, but I doubt any one man ever could. --

Polite? Total BS. One of Larkin's favorite activities here is spitting on other people's sidewalks. As I've pointed out, he goes out of his way to insult people in his kill file.

While he is knowledgeable in electronics, he can't understand basic math and not only remains ignorant of many sciences, he has a total disdain for those who are knowledgeable in them.

Then there is the constant complaining about others posting off topic while he starts off topic threads, posts in off topic threads and redirects on topic threads in off topic directions.
