ethanol is an antidote for methanol so might not go blind as long as you keep drinking something with ethanol for long enough
EU standard for denaturing alcohol does not have methanol in it. it is 94% ethanol the rest isopropyl alcohol, methyl ethyl ketone and denatonium benzoate.
Interestingly, pepper spray and marijuana (in small quantities) are legal in MA. They're illegal (without a license in the case of the former, at least) in the state to the south, where you go to get the fireworks. /shrug
Denmark cannot be counted as a Nordic country in respect to alcohol policies. Try again Iceland, Norway, Sweden or Finland.

Denmark is not _so_ extreme, but extreme enough. That's what I saw in the first supermarket on the German side of the Danish-German border:

The Icelandic government gave itself a monopoly on alcohol sales. Licensed venues only. Supermarkets have stacks of what look exactly like craft beers, but they're all alcohol-free.

In Sweden, stores and supermarkets can sell alcohol, upto 3% proof. So you can light beers and ciders.
in Denmark there are no limits to what shops can sell alcohol, you just have to be 16 to buy and 18 to buy anything over 16.5%
You can get drugs delivered 24/7 if you want. You can't get that level of service buying toluene. Druggies, ususually the most useless of folks have no problems obtaining whatever they want.
That one might need to fill out 25 pages of forms and still get rejected to get some nitric acid is laughable and sad. No matter what you see on TV, it's pretty darn free in the US. Nobody has left the US because it was too restrictive and it cramped their style.
One of the funnier safety data sheets for a chemical I use says have a couple shots of whiskey and contact a physicial if you drink the stuff. It's not a joke either. I wonder what they use at a hospital as ethanol to treat certain poisons.
No standards in the US to denature ethanol other than it has to be poison that cannot be easily removed. I recall reading they even used some real extra toxic stuff during prohibition.
This proves that Denmark is not like the real Nordic countries.

We don't know exactly how many native-born Americans leave America each year for whatever their reasons; the federal government doesn't keep exact statistics on it and AFAIK nobody else does, either.
Sounds like a decent way to start a new life if you've got little family, s*it job and a miserable ex-wife, so long as you're not a wanted criminal once you close the door on the US nobody care much what you do with yourself.
Except that you still owe US income tax on your world earnings, unless you give up your citizenship.

I think you can still legally donate taxes to the host country, and claim foreign tax credit on it.
I think the US is still immigration positive.
Movie stars keep threatening to move to Canada. I wish they would.
I recall that that was fixed in the tax bill of 2017 or so, in the same effort that eliminated the 30% tax on repatriated money.
