TEAC 260 station memory

Dec 05, 2005 1 Replies

I have an old Teac 260 that loses it's set station memories after sitting a couple of days. Anyone know the circuit and how the station memory is implemented since I can find no battery back up? Dick

I bought the AG260 service manual which shows no memory "keep alive" battery but only a 470 mF 10v capacitor on v001 and v002 of the processor. Careful reading of the brochure states that "Memory selections are held for 'up to a week'". That's not very long so maybe the receiver is almost performing to spec! I wonder if increasing the capacitor size to 4700mF would get "up to10 weeks memory storage"? Dick
