Yes, Mitsubishi is based in Japan - which makes the Chinese-like wording a bit puzzling.

Not really. Japanese language has a lot in common with Chinese and otherwise well educated native Japanese speakers aren't all that good at written English but think that they are. The results are as you see. Most corporates filter stuff through a native English speaker but we always left a few minor quirks in to show it was from Japan.
It is quite common to find weird Janglish phrases floating around in their datasheets and on clothes and rucksacks in Japan.
My all time favourite was "have a nice survival".
What is more peculiar to my eyes is the new trend of seeing people in the West wondering round with permanent random kanji tatooes!

The worst part is that apparently some tattoo parlors believe they can just use Kanji characters as a substitution cypher for English letters.

spoken language absolutely nothing in common. written language only about 2000 ideograms, but they are not used in the same way.
