Shift register, latch, & current source

I'm looking for something like the 74HC595 (eight-bit shift register and latch) but appropriate to drive ultrabright LED's directly off of the outputs. Any suggestions?

I'm doing the same, driving relays, so I ended up with 595+ ULN2003 stuff. Off the shelf, cheap
