RF Transistor

Hello

I am looking for a an RF transistors, like the BFP520 for my design project. Does anybody know a supplier for such transistors?

Thank you for your time.

If you're in the USA, you could try doing searches at

, and maybe

Try searching at

formatting link
, with a country abbreviation and words like transistor and supplier.

It should be available from Infineon distributors.

Check out the Infineon distributor pages for the distributors in your neighbourhood (whatever that may be).

There are three distributors in the Netherlands - only one admits to selling the BFP520, and then only in reels of 3000, of which they have none in stock.

Try ringling up Infineon in your area and asking for free samples - these sorts of parts are normally bought and used in huge batches, and the companies are used to dealing out free samples in packs of ten or twenty. Ffiteen years ago, when I was interested in a similar sort of part from Philips, they knowingly gave me enough free samples to keep our hypothetical (small) production plan running for a couple of years (but Cambridge Instruments bought a lot of Philips parts and our permanently assigned representative looked after us pretty well).

Hello Bill,

Don't that sound familiar?

Tried that for the BSP297 (not an RF transistor). I offered them to pay whatever it takes to get them here to the US. Didn't work. Won't try again unless I absolutely have to. IMHO that is not a way to do business.

The BFP520 is easier since Digikey has them. Only then would I ever consider an Infineon part again.

Lost? Found:

Digikey has these in stock. About 75 Cents a pop and you have to buy at least 10.

Depends what you are doing, but I have lots of Sanyo 55GN01C and

80GN01C, and Vishay BA779-GS08 transistors (SOT23), I could snip you off 10 or so without a problem if it would help.
