reverse drain-source voltage to aMOSFET

In that situation, the body diode will conduct. Look in the datasheet at Vsd (page 2). Forward diode voltage 0.8V - 1.8V (Vgs = 0V, Isd

1.5A).

Cheers

I would like to know if it is safe to apply a small reverse voltage, only

5Vdc, to drain-source (Vgs=0V). Is the channel still off in this condition? I'm using Supertex TN0610 with 100V breakdown voltage.

Thanks! J. David

It will behave like a diode

void _-void-_ in the obvious place

Oops, I didn't spot that.

Thanks guys!
