Reed switch AT

Hoe sensitive would a reed switch be that's rated 10 - 15 AT?

Do you think a magnet like this (whatever, need something small) would activate it at an inch away or so? -- thanks

Used reed switches before but never really cared about this AT rating etc.

The lower the number, the more sensitive right?

and what's the deal with Neodymium magnets? Is this always a better choice?

Some security system door/window sensors are reed switches. Try Amazon maybe.

Yes, Neodymium magnets are always a better choice than something.
