Interesting link, but my bones wouldn't last long being dissolved with lime, so it's almost like cremation, just a little slower. Laying in a grave would be the longest, but most Claustrophobic. Still can't decide, but I might go shopping to compare costs.

"Once the bones have been bleached by the sun and wind, which can take as long as a year, they are collected in an ossuary pit at the center of the tower, where=97assisted by lime=97they gradually disintegrate and the remaining material=97with run-off rainwater=97runs through multiple coal and sand filters before being eventually washed out to sea."

My wife and I really like the idea of your get cremated, then a company adds your ashes to a lot of fireworks, and then they go out to sea, and you have a really nice light show for your mourners, scattering your ashes at sea... ;-)

That's a good one. Amazing they can make diamonds from ashes. I wonder how many pounds of ashes are needed for a 2 carat diamond? If it's not much, I suppose I could have one leg cut off to make the diamond and still have a regular burial in a box (missing one leg).

But the cost is sort of high at 20K for a 1.5 carat diamond. I think my relatives would rather have the 20K in cash.

My thought has long been that dumping the whole body far out at sea allows the material I have spent a lifetime collecting mihgt make some fishes happy.
