The lack of guy wires is a big deal. If you look at most new tower designs, they are avoiding guy wires. A comm tower was brought down by vandals last year due to them cutting the guy wires. Also aircraft have been known to hit them, as in the case of KFI.

And of course this design looks cool, which doesn't hurt.
