piezo driver - which way up? - piezo.jpg (0/1)

The attached scribble shows a basic driver output stage I found for a piezo speaker (A).

Don't know much about this but why is it not as at circuit (B)?

(A) the output is ref'd to +V. If I want to refer the out to ground, would (B) do it? thanks

This NG doesnt do binaries / attachments.

Try uploading your schematic to a photo sharing site & post a link to it here.

You still can't figure out that YOUR service provider's server setting is NOT what 99.9% of the rest of the world uses. Your pathetic "attachments" do NOT get past the first hand-off.

You are truly a clueless bastard.

I'm using Outlook Express and it came through fine. I saw 345KB. Mikek

It has nothing to do with the damned news reader, idiot!

Well I got zip, zilch, zero attachment here. I expect it got stripped on the way here.

Grant.

Nope! SeaMonkey has no clue. Maybe it is the provider?

THen my server must be among those 0.10 % because I saw the image.

Jamie

I sure hope you feel better. Mikek

They represent two cases of how the piezo device is driven; one without = DC bias and one with DC bias. I expect that these options reflect devices with slightly different mounting and electromechanical characteristics.

To choose the correct configuration for your driver you need to consult the datasheet.
