Pic ICSP

Hi, I would program PIC16F877A with ICSP. I used as programmer a jdm based (Pic-PG2 showed

and as software ic-prog 1.05C. I tried a lot of configurations but nothing. One is showed below:

[FIDOCAD ] LI 90 55 95 55 LI 95 55 95 60 MC 95 60 1 0 170 MC 95 70 0 0 045 MC 95 35 3 0 010 LI 95 45 95 35 LI 45 45 65 45 LI 65 45 65 75 LI 77 55 77 90 LI 77 90 125 90 MC 95 55 3 0 080 TY 99 31 5 3 0 0 0 * +5 TY 126 88 5 3 0 0 0 * ICSP SA 95 55 LI 75 55 65 55 TY 45 50 5 3 0 0 0 * /MCLR MC 90 55 2 0 200 TY 70 50 5 3 0 0 0 * BAT48 TY 100 50 5 3 0 0 0 * 1K TY 100 60 5 3 0 0 0 * 0.1uF LI 65 75 65 140 TY 45 40 5 3 0 0 0 * PIC TY 50 95 5 3 0 0 0 * VDD TY 50 105 5 3 0 0 0 * VSS TY 50 115 5 3 0 0 0 * RB7 TY 50 125 5 3 0 0 0 * RB6 LI 65 110 125 110 LI 65 120 125 120 LI 65 130 125 130 TY 125 105 5 3 0 0 0 * ICSP TY 125 115 5 3 0 0 0 * ICSP TY 125 125 5 3 0 0 0 * ICSP MC 95 110 0 0 045

with and without the wire between the two Vdd. Later i proved this jdm configuration

but i used as diode BAT48: nothing. Now:

1)There is any particular ic-prog setting to program with ICSP? 2)Why during the programming the value of MCLR is 8 volt ?(I know that it shoud be 13v) 3)Why I must use a Schottky diode? Thanks to all

I have a little dreidel, I made it out of clay
And when it's dry and ready, with dreidel I shall play.
Oh, Dreidel, Dreidel, Dreidel, I made you out of clay
Dreidel, Dreidel, Dreidel, with Dreidel I shall play.

I don't know what all that stuff is, but it sounds like this device is a long way from 'user friendly'!
